CST 8128 — Lab 13

1. Review the section that you prepared during the past week:
   • Section 11.3 on "Five Additonal Objects"
2. Follow the example procedures in each of these sections.
3. Do several of the exercises in each section and record the ones you did in your Weekly Log Sheet.

Evaluation Tasks:

• Answer a 10-minute, open-book, offline quiz (no computer allowed) on assigned material up to and including Chapter 11.2.
• Demonstrate your prepared solutions to the following problem to your instructor:
  • 11.3: any one of Problems 70-72, 74, or 76 on p.539-540.
• Use good style (proper indentation, comments, functions and subprograms) in all your programming.
• Ensure that your program traps errors if a file being opened is not found. (See p.403.)
• If there is time, demonstrate any work left over from last week.    Students demonstrating this week's assignments have priority.
• Before you leave the Lab today, hand in to your instructor a Weekly Log Sheet with the following information:
1. Your name, printed legibly.
2. Your student number, also printed to be readable.
3. Today's Lab number and today's date.
4. The list of practice exercises and problems you tried while working on this section of the textbook (from the list of practice exercises and problems in the above sections).

For next week:

The last class of the term is next week.

• Prepare demonstrations of any outstanding assignments.
• All evaluations must be completed to receive credit for the course, even if they are too late to receive a mark.
• Prepare any outstanding log sheets.
• Make sure your marks are recorded correctly.  Blank entries for lab demonstrations mean you don't get credit for the course.

Keep a written record of any problems or exercises you attempt so that you may enter this information into next week's Weekly Log Sheet.
