 - the steps for a kernel compilation have changed for the 2.6 kernel
   (see various net resources, e.g. http://kernel.org/)

p.32
 - the Linux 2.6 kernel series uses "modprobe.conf" not "modules.conf"
 - the line "insmod ne" should be "modprobe ne"

p.323
 - openssh-client should be openssh-clients  (plural)

p.508
 - A fully commented postfix config file is now named "main.cf.dist".
 - The main.cf file contains only the few lines that change the default
   postfix operation; read main.cf.dist for help.
 - The file main.cf.default shows what default values are compiled
   into postfix.

p.527
 - The text documents only Apache Version 1.
 - Recent Linux distributions ship with Version 2.
