8 The checking programs allow for very focused troubleshooting and lead to a much more nuanced understanding of the labs.

6 Don't force students to attend labs. We are adults and we should know if we need to attend the labs or not.
7 The labs or assignments could be made printable. Also, books on Linux commands could be used as resources for students. Many can benefit from this. Commands can be referred to by going to books on them.

6 - Sometimes he's not very helpful and he asks you to go do your own research.

7 He could give more assistance to students. Sometimes, more help is needed for concepts. Network connection assistance can be improved on for future semesters.
8 Perhaps a few hints on a white board each lab to help the weaker students to better motivate lab attendance.
