CST 8128 - Visual Basic 5.0 - Ian Allen
This page last updated: Sunday September 27, 1998 01:07
This material applies only to the section of the course facilitated by Ian Allen.
Most Lab sessions will include some reading and exercises (best done before arriving in
the Lab), an in-evaluation, and a Weekly Log Sheet update.
Your final mark will be derived from the best of the in-Lab weekly evaluations.
Evaluations done up to one week after the end of the Lab in which they were due incur a
20% late penalty.
Evaluations done more than one week after the end of the Lab in which they are due are
worth zero toward your final mark.
All evaluations must be completed to receive credit for the course, even if they are too
late to receive a mark.
Time permitting, you may "work ahead" and do next week's work this week and be
evaluated on it.
Evaluations of current students take priority over evaluations of students working ahead
and of students completing late lab assignments.
Since all 24 students cannot be evaluated in the last few minutes of the Lab period,
recognize that leaving your evaluation until the last few minutes may result in the
evaluation not being seen that day and you not getting credit for it. To be safe,
plan to finish your assigned problem with 30 minutes to spare in the Lab period.
- Weekly Log Sheet
- To help you track your progress in the text, you are asked to submit a Weekly Log Sheet listing the practice problems and
exercises you completed while working on the weekly section of the book. Practice
problems are suggested in the Lab directions each week.
-
- Keep a written record of all the assigned problems or exercises you attempted so that
you may enter this information into the Weekly Log Sheet at the end of
the Lab each week.
-
- Students with empty log sheets may find the course Quizzes very difficult to complete in
the time allotted.
